So, I’d been having issues with deciding what to paint - I always struggle for subject matter and end up looking through books, photos, etc.
Anyway, in the last couple of days, I’ve got 2 ideas!
I was listening to Joni Mitchell, yesterday, and a line from her song ‘Little Green’ that really appeals to me; “…..there’ll be crocuses to bring to school tomorrow….” I love it! Hopefully the market will have crocuses…..? I’m thinking a still life with a couple of crocuses in an empty food can, with maybe a couple of pencils or some kind of ‘school’ paraphernalia with it.
And our apple tree is blossoming at the moment, so I will paint a section of the branches - I’ve even got a canvas painted sky blue ready for it. I’ve always loved the Van Gogh blossom painting - I think it’s almond, though, not apple.
Wish me luck!
